Keep your Taskstream account and portfolios after you are no longer covered by a campus license

On this page:

Overview

The Taskstream service is no longer widely used at IU, and is no longer supported by UITS. Support is now provided directly by the departments using the service. Additionally, you can email Watermak Support at support@watermarkinsights.com.

The Taskstream account created for you at Indiana University only covers your use while you are enrolled on a campus or in a program that licenses Taskstream.

Notes:
  • Taskstream is only available to students enrolled in the Schools of Education on the IU Indianapolis and South Bend campuses.
  • If you receive a message indicating that your account has expired when you attempt to log in, contact your School of Education:

If you are currently enrolled at IU and covered under the current license agreement with Taskstream, your account will be reactivated.

Renew your Taskstream subscription

If you are no longer covered under a campus- or program-wide license agreement, you can renew your subscription directly from Taskstream. To renew your license:

  1. Go to https://login.taskstream.com/pub/enroll/.
  2. On Step 1, choose Renew my Taskstream subscription and, under "Option 1: Credit Card Purchase", choose Continue.
  3. When prompted, enter your Taskstream username and password, and select Continue.
  4. On Step 2 of 7, select Neither of the above categories describes me, and choose Continue.
  5. Follow the instructions on the remaining pages to complete your credit card purchase.

Export your Taskstream content

If you don't plan to renew your Taskstream account, UITS recommends that you download copies of the content you created in Taskstream. To do so, export your content to PDF or HTML format, as described below.

Note:
Your published web folios will remain available to those with permission to view them even after your Taskstream account is deactivated. If you don't want others to be able to continue to view your prior (and likely outdated) work, you may want to consider unpublishing them before you lose access.

Export Taskstream content to PDF format

This method can only be used for web folios and web pages. Other types of Taskstream content can only be exported to HTML.

  1. Log into Taskstream.
  2. In the main menu across the top of the page, choose Folios and Web Pages.
  3. On the "All Folios and Web Pages" screen, locate the item you wish to export and choose Edit.
  4. In the tabbed editing menu, select Publish/Share at the upper right.
  5. On the "Publish and Sharing Options" screen, choose Create a Printable PDF.
  6. On the "Export to PDF - Select Pages" screen, select the items you wish to include in the PDF.
  7. If you want to include copies of the files attached in your web folio, read and follow the on-screen instructions for creating an appendix.
  8. Select Continue.
  9. Select Generate Now to generate the PDF file.
  10. Save the PDF to your local or cloud storage device.
  11. If you chose to create an appendix, send the files in your appendix to a printer or save them as PDF files.

Export Taskstream content to HTML

The Pack-It-Up utility in Taskstream allows you to download all of your Taskstream work (including Direct Response Folios, web folios, lesson plans, etc.) to HTML format as a single package. Detailed instructions are provided in Quick Start Guide: Using Pack-It-Up for PC.

Important:
You can only use the Pack-It-Up utility five times per year. Use this feature sparingly.
