ARCHIVED: At IUB and IUPUI, how can I forward calls on my office telephone?
At Indiana University Bloomington and IUPUI, Call Forwarding allows you to forward office calls to a different number based upon conditions defined in each type of service. You must have this feature on your line in order to activate it. To verify, at IUB, call 812-856-2287; at IUPUI, call 317-274-3004.

Instructions for using Call Forwarding
To activate Call Forwarding on your line, using any phone:
- Lift the handset and dial the appropriate activation code (see the table below for your campus).
- If the type of Call Forwarding you are activating is not fixed, listen for a "stutter" dial tone, and then dial the number to forward to exactly as you would to place the call, e.g., 5-xxxx or 9-332-xxxx.
- Listen for a confirmation tone and replace the handset.
To deactivate Call Forwarding on your line:
- Lift the handset and dial the appropriate deactivation code.
- Listen for a confirmation tone and replace the handset.
If you have a Meridian business set (M5312 or M5316) with add-on modules, you can also activate Call Forward Universal or Call Forward Per Key with a button rather than a code. To do so:
- Do not lift the handset or press Handsfree.
- Press the Call Forward button.
- Dial the telephone number to forward to exactly as you would to place the call, e.g., 5-xxxx or 9-332-xxxx.
- Press the Call Forward button. The diamond indicator will remain solid, indicating that all incoming calls will ring into the number you programmed.
To cancel Call Forwarding using a business set, press the Call Forward button. The diamond by the Call Forward button will go off, indicating that all incoming calls will ring into your number.
