Campus housing telephone service at IUB and IUPUI

As part of campus housing contracts at Indiana University Bloomington and IUPUI, UITS provides each residence hall room and on-campus apartment with one telephone line with local telephone service if requested. However, campus housing residents must supply their own telephones. There is no monthly charge for the first telephone line. Each line is disconnected at the end of the school year.

To have your phone line activated without fee, contact your center desk and provide the following:

  • Your full name
  • Your IU email address
  • The name of your residence hall
  • Your location (which wing, floor, room)
  • Jack ID, if known (the telephone jack in your room should have a label with the jack ID on it)
Note:
Direct-dial long distance is not available in campus housing at IUB and IUPUI. However, students, faculty, and staff may take advantage of special pricing for AT&T personal cellular service; see About AT&T discounts.
