Single-line Caller ID telephones

Adjusting the volume

Press the left or right side of the Volume Control Bar to increase or decrease volume. This will affect the ringer if you do it while the phone is ringing, or the handset or speaker if you do it while in a call.

Turning the ringer on

  1. Press the right side of the Volume Control Bar until you reach the desired ring volume.
  2. Press Save.

Turning the ringer off

  1. Press the left side of the Volume Control Bar until the ringer is off ("Ringer is OFF" will appear on the display).
  2. Press Save.

Note: Do not lift the handset while you are turning the ringer on or off.

Setting the ring tone

  1. Ensure that the ringer is turned on and press Set Options.
  2. Use the Review key to scroll up or down to option 3, or press 0 and 3 to go directly to the item.
  3. Press * and follow the instructions on the display.
  4. When you are satisfied with your ring tone and ringer volume, press Save, and then press RLS.

Note: You cannot turn the volume off when you are choosing the ring tone.

Adjusting the volume

Press the left or right side of the Volume Control Bar to increase or decrease volume. This will affect the ringer if you do it while the phone is ringing, or the handset or speaker if you do it while in a call.

Turning the ringer on

  1. Press the Volume Control Bar.
  2. Press Line 1 or 2.
  3. Press the right side of the Volume Control Bar until you reach the desired ring volume.
  4. Press Save.

Turning the ringer off

  1. Press the Volume Control Bar.
  2. Press Line 1 or 2.
  3. Press the left side of the Volume Control Bar until the ringer is off ("Ringer is OFF" will appear on the display).
  4. Press Save.

Note: Do not lift the handset while you are turning the ringer on or off.

Setting the ring tone

  1. Ensure that the ringer is turned on and press Set Options.
  2. Press * to enter the options list.
  3. Use the arrow up/down key to scroll to number 1, or press 1.
  4. Press 1 and follow the instructions on the display. When choosing a ring tone, press the Volume Control Bar to adjust the volume.
  5. When you are satisfied with your ring tone and ringer volume, press Save, and then press RLS.

Note: Repeat these steps to set up the ring tone and volume for the other line. You cannot turn the volume off when you are choosing the ring tone.

Panasonic Model KX-T2355 Easa and ATT 925 Speakerphone

You can set the ringer volume to either High, Low, or Off. UITS recommends that you select either High or Low. In the Off position, the telephone will not ring.

Panasonic Model KX-T2355 Easa

The button labeled "Speaker Volume Control" allows you to increase or decrease the volume of the speaker in a hands-free conversation.

ATT 925 Speakerphone

The Volume button adjusts the speaker or the handset during your call. Adjusting one does not affect the other. When on a call, press the right arrow key to increase volume, and press the left arrow key to decrease volume.

Setting the Ringer Volume Switch

The switch is located on the right side of the telephone. You may set the switch to HI for high volume, LO for low volume, or OFF to turn the ringer volume off. When the switch is moved to the OFF position you will not hear ringing from the telephone. However, an extension telephone will ring during an incoming call.

Setting the B/Z type ringer

The B/Z type ringer switch is located on the bottom of the phone near the Line jacks. This switch should be set to the Z mode for business/hospitality applications and the B mode for residential applications.

Note: The Message Waiting light and the Line in Use (LIU) LEDs will not operate when the phone is set in the B ringer mode.

Adjusting the handset volume

Use the Volume button to increase or decrease the handset volume.

Meridian Business Set M5112, M5312, and M5316

Press the left side of the Volume Control Bar (located directly beneath the dialing pad) to turn the volume down; press the right side to turn it up. To set the volume, press both sides down at the same time. The Volume Control Bar controls the ringer volume if you press it while the phone is ringing; it controls the handset or speaker volume if you press it during a call.
