ARCHIVED: At IUB and IUPUI, how do I discontinue or transfer my phone service if I move out of campus housing?

This content has been archived, and is no longer maintained by Indiana University. Information here may no longer be accurate, and links may no longer be available or reliable.

If you are moving out of campus housing at Indiana University Bloomington or IUPUI permanently, you need to request that your voice mail and any optional features be disconnected. You will remain financially responsible for all charges until you have done so.

If you move from one campus residence to another, you may ask to have your telephone service transferred to your new residence hall room or apartment. Your voice mail and optional features will not work in your new room or apartment until you have done so.

You may ask that your old telephone number be moved to your new apartment; there is no fee for this service.

To disconnect or transfer your telephone service, contact Customer Support at 812-855-4455 (from on campus, dial 5-4455), Monday-Friday 9am-noon or 1pm-5pm. Alternatively, you can email Campus Housing Telephone Services.

Note:
If your campus housing residence currently does not have an active telephone line, you must contact your center desk to have the line activated (without fee). For more, see Campus housing telephone service at IUB and IUPUI.
Note:
Direct-dial long distance is not available in campus housing at IUB and IUPUI. However, students, faculty, and staff may take advantage of special pricing for AT&T personal cellular service; see About AT&T discounts.
